Rad Fort #27 is here! It’s coming on a good number of years that I’ve known my pal Jheri Evans, and each day has been a wondrous adventure of delightful joy. We’ve been trying to get together on a project in most of that time and finally everything has fallen into it’s destiny.
Besides being a deservedly respected music journalist for sites like his very own Get Off the Coast or Altered Zones, creating music or even co-running his record label Crash Symbols, Jheri is an accomplished artist. His works have been seen on album covers, computer screens and t-shirts (Forty Ounce Clothing just today released their collaboration with JE and it’s stellar so get yours here now).
And right now the project we’ve long discussed is available to be yours! VHS Dreamz is a series of 12 posters featuring Jheri’s designs, a new one available each month over the period of one year. The first in the series is “PRIMES” (which you see at the top of this post) will be shipping out in June.
You can buy a subscription in 6 month ($30) or the complete 12 month ($50) packages. All profits go to the artist. Also, a limited amount of posters each month will be available for individual sale but to guarantee you get all 12 I highly suggest you get on the 12 month train (plus you’ll get secret goodies). Speaking of both parties, I recently enjoyed PBox’s 30% off sale in April and got If n Oof by Brian Chippendale (it broke my heart it was so good), 1-800-Mice issues 1-3 and a few of those Cold Heat comics I was missing. All great; that publisher is such an inspiration.

Finally, I am looking for an intern. I’m just a dude so I can’t offer college credit or anything, but I can write nice notes about you or talk on the phone to someone and hype you up if those are your wishes.
It is mostly a digital position, so you don’t have to live in Connecticut (though if you do that’s great, and would mean the position would expand to print a slight bit as well) you just have to know design programs kinda and know how to email someone. You know, like throw an image into a template, nothing serious. As I’ve been able to put myself in a higher demand as an artist, it’s been great for RAD FORT but also makes it harder to keep up on the little things in the timely manner it thirsts so desperately for.
